Weather Owl is a children's app that shows the weather and lets a child dress an owl for it. We collect no personal information from children or parents.
If you allow it, Weather Owl uses the approximate location of the device, only while the app is open, to show local weather. The location is not stored by the app and not sent to us. To fetch the forecast, the coordinates are sent to the weather service Open-Meteo.com (https://open-meteo.com), which returns the weather; like any web service it can see the device's IP address. To show the name of your town, the coordinates are also looked up with Apple's location services. If you say no, the app works with example weather for Copenhagen, and you can change this in the grown-up corner.
The app remembers a few settings on the device itself: sound on/off, the chosen language, which weather owls have been met, and whether the fixed city is used. This stays on the device and is deleted when the app is deleted.
The app is made for children. Because we collect no personal information, there is nothing to review, correct or delete on our side.
If this policy changes, the new version and date will appear on this page.
